Piranesi by Susanna Clarke

What a gorgeous, haunting read. My kobo tells me that I finished it in 3 hrs. I couldn't put it down! Like others said, the first 10% or so really set up the atmosphere of the labyrinth/house but you don't need to remember those details, so a quick read of this section is fine if you can't quite digest it all out find it tedious. If a location is used later on, it will be described at that point.

Another reader, (Beautifully Bookish Bethany) noted an issue with Piranesi's race and how it puts an even darker twist on the story -- I agree that it seems problematic that that element was introduced but not actually discussed. -0.5 stars for that.
