I was looking for some really good hurt /comfort and while this provided a decent amount of that (especially between Flynn and Wren) it was just too hard to look past the typos and wonky writing. And while the trigger warnings were accurate i somehow still wasn’t prepared for how graphic some of it got 🙃

There’s so many issues I wanna talk about but at this point ive already purged half of them from my brain. A few big ones are -

1) what in the actual heck was Shaw’s problem with her name being Wren?!?! Like YOUR MATES NAME IS AMBROSE!?! And you’re gonna hate on the name Wren?? Make it make sense
2) was it just me or did this author make the dismembering and SA scenes more graphic than the consensual spicy scenes?
3) two of the main characters were assaulted (on page and in detail) and then very quickly seemed to ease right back into things. It just didn’t flow for me.
4) speaking of flow… the writing (specifically dialogue and internal monologues) they did NOT flow. The wording felt so off for me.
