Billie and Brett forever!!
I cannot put into words how much I loved this book. Like we love Miss Silvia Rivera and Marsha P Johnson!! Billies chickens were my favorite!
However, let’s take a second to look back at Brett,
“Except that you love chickens and also Sylvia Rivera, who I will learn everything about now that you’ve gotten me intrigued.”
The way he was obsessed with Billie from the start had me dying. He was willing to do anything for her even challenge Travis for her hand. BOY OBSESSED AT ITS FINEST!
My favorite thing about him wasn’t just how he crashed both of Billies dates with Travis and had her up against a wall each time… who am I kidding it was. It was also how big heart is and how he put everyone first, he’d do anything for Billie. This big grumpy football player waited for her and wanted to go slow because he wanted to know her as much as he could. SWOON. I SWOON EACH TIME I REMEMBER!!!
Now, Billie… an angel. She’s been through a lot and conquered it all. Neither one of them had an easy life but they made it work. I loved how strong headed she was and how she’d never let anything stop her. She’s independent but so smart, and kind she’s just everything and more.
I honestly didn’t expect this book to be so deep and meaningful but it was beautiful! This is one of my favorite books from Tijan, it was spectacular.
Now, let’s take a second for more Brett…
“Because you’re mine, Billie. Mine to protect. Mine to pleasure. Mine. All mine.”
Also… the mentions of Stone and Dusty gave me life!!!
Last thing, this book discusses some heavy topics, so keep in mind to refer to the trigger warnings!
But I can’t recommend this enough, I loved this book so much. Thank you to Valentine PR for an advanced copy, this book was a highlight in my year!
