A fast-paced noir cyberpunk thriller that's not afraid to be pulpy as hell. Trans main character is a huge plus, and the banter between her and the other lead is stellar. Dialogue is great overall.
Unfortunately, it's dragged down by utterly incoherent worldbuilding (it's futuristic cyberpunk with all the trimmings, but only set a handful of years from now, and little of that makes sense), so many awkward references to 80s through 00s media you'll think you picked up a queer version of Ready Player One by mistake, and the author's insistence of bringing up blatant trans references every two or three pages to really drive home the main character's gender. It's all hugely distracting and really harmed my enjoyment of the story.

Minor: Sexual violence, Suicide
