This was…. Something! If I thought the characters were unlikeable in the show, they are soooo much worse in the book. Belly whines nonstop, Conrad is annoyingly overprotective, Taylor is a bad friend and Belly clearly doesn’t even like her, and even Cam Cameron is kind of a downer. The pacing of this was also so off. This definitely seems like a book I would have loved ten years ago, but reading this as a full grown adult was just not a great experience. The show is so much better, it’s honestly impressive to me that they were able to make such a good show out of a mediocre book. I am a hypocrite tho bc I likely will continue with the series 🤭
