Check & Mate

"I've got you, Mallory. Nothing bad is going to happen. You can let yourself want this, because you already have it. You have me."

This was a cute read, I loved Nolan I thought his personality was great and I really digged the whole I am better than you attitude he had but I felt like after a while he lost that. Mallory was an okay character but I found myself getting way too annoyed with her at times, I wish she communicated more and I wish she would stand up to her family more and realise that she didn't actually have to do everything. I wanted to strangle her sisters all the way through this book, they were truly insufferable and selfish and I don't know how she let them treat her the way they did and still continued to supply them with everything they wanted no questions asked. I found the end of the book lacklustre, I didn't gel with the epilogue and I found myself having more questions at the end of the book than I did seeing the 'happy ever after'. The reason I gave this book a four stars had to be for the background characters they really held the story together and Oz's one liners honestly had me laughing through this book, I think they really did save it. It was a good read I just don't know if I personally can say it was the best!
