1000000000/5 easiest 5 stars I’ve ever given a book. This was such a ride omg. ML Wang does everything to walk you on this journey to the point that you fall into reality with these characters. And then….. she turns and stabs you in the heart. Again. And again. And again. And then she takes care of you and finally tucks you in and kisses your forehead. That’s what it was like reading this book. These characters will live on in my mind. I will use this book to continue building you I am and will use this book in the future. This is not an overly gory book for being about war. There is nothing for shock value. But the writing stills throws you next to the warriors on the front lines and leaves you with the families at home praying for the men to come back. This book puts every emotion and experience directly into you own soul while reading. This was not just a book this was an EXPERIENCE. I don’t think I e ver loved a book so much. I will miss the time I spent with these characters and I will mourn not having more time with them. GIRL TLDR THE HYPE IS REAL READ IT!!
