Flirty Little Secret by Jessica Lepe

4.0

Fletcher just arrived at his new job as a teacher where he has an embarrassing moment with the counselor, Lucy. They both have their secrets and realize something isn’t right. I was really hooked on the story from the beginning. I enjoyed the author’s writing style and the combination of both the story and the texts. I loved the fast pacing but also how there were so many moments where both the MCs solved their problems. I loved the positive attitude of talking about anxiety and depression as the MMC dealt with it properly and ensured the FMC was doing well. As much as there were amazing moments, I do have to mention there were a bit too many conflicts that sometimes made the story too much. So much would happen at one point which I think would need to be lessened. I did enjoy the dual povs of both Lucy and Fletcher.

Lucy is a counselor at her school and wants to make sure her students are doing well. I loved how sweet and kind she is but she also has personal struggles she’s dealing it. I loved seeing her develop in this book and finding love. Then there is Fletcher who has to take care of his mom and left his old job. He’s a sweetheart and such a caring person. I didn’t enjoy his character as much as Lucy but he also has a great development. There were many side characters in this book and mainly they were all kind and sweet. The romance is friends to lovers and a kind of instant-love which was cute but I wish there was more chemistry.

The ending was well done and I really enjoyed the story. It was well developed and I loved how the author handled the sensitive topics. Overall, I really enjoyed this story and recommend checking it out. This story is perfect for those looking for something cute.
