Sorrowland
by Rivers Solomon
I really really enjoyed the first two parts of this book. it was dreamlike and introspective and the character building and view was really intimate. and then all of the action of the last part happened and it felt like it had sped up by a million, and all of these random side characters were being introduced with strange behaviours (the motel women, the boy driving the car), and especially the very end felt quite rushed and didn't hold up the very solid and much slower pacing of the beginning of the book. I still very much enjoyed it, and I give the beginning 5 stars and the end 3 so an average of 4.
