Corrode by Ella Fields
5.0
I feel like I’ve been waiting forever for this book. So the moment it landed on my kindle, I dove right in. I stayed up until the wee hours of the morning finishing it. And honestly, I have no regrets. Corrode is a book that is hard to put down.
Corrode is a complete standalone but if you read Cyanide, you know exactly who Felix is. To say I was impatiently waiting for his book would be a huge understatement. I knew it was going to hurt so good but I was prepared for it. And Ella didn’t disappoint. No surprise there. The woman likes to shatter my heart and put it back together again.
Maggie and Felix have their own flaws but despite their mistakes, I adored them. Their connection is instant, from the very moment they lay eyes on each other. It was basically palpable. No matter what obstacles were thrown their way, they always found their way back to each other.
“All roads in life … no matter where I’ve been or where I’m going … every single one will always lead me back to you. In this and every life after.”
Felix, Felix, Felix! The man melted my heart. He said and did the sweetest things. I should have known Ella would write another great book boyfriend. I fell in love with him instantly. It was inevitable. There’s nothing I love more than a badass hero always showing his softer side whenever he’s around the people he loves.
The writing and pace of the story was flawlessly well done. I highlighted so many great quotes. Ella Fields has very easily become one of my favorite authors. She knows how to make me feel all the feels. I’m looking forward to reading more of her phenomenal books in the future.
Don’t miss out on Felix and Maggie’s heartbreaking, but beautiful journey to their happily ever after. It’s worth it.
