Leaves of Grass by Walt Whitman

5.0

This has been one of my favorite works since November of 2011, but I just realized I had never reviewed it after finishing [b:Paper Towns|2914097|Paper Towns|John Green|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1327869758s/2914097.jpg|3364505].

There is not much I can say about this that has not been said, but I will say this:

This book changed my outlook on life. This is the most influential piece of literature on me that I have ever read. Honestly, Song of Myself truly changed the way I view the world around me. I hope that I have become less inwardly focused, but I don't know. All I know is that whenever I feel lost, I pick up this book. There is always something in there that can comfort me.
