This book was good but tense! I laughed, I cried, and I was on the edge of my seat for most of it. A lot happens in this book so there was less room for the tender moments that were my favorite part of Divine Rivals but they were woven in to provide breathing room between the intense action which I appreciated. I liked how the magic of this world was explained (this was a big question I had after the first book) and the role of the gods.

Overall, I enjoyed it. It was chaotic and intense at times but the pacing was good and it had a satisfying conclusion to the story.
