All I Did Was Shoot My Man by Walter Mosley

5.0

After a slow start, I really enjoyed this book. The writing is fascinating; every few pages there's a sentence or phrase that you would never find anywhere else and that you read over a few times to enjoy it. No cliches here! As for suspense, I don't think I've ever encountered a book with more plot twists. Just when you think you've understood what's going on, it becomes clear that you didn't. Mostly this is handled deftly, sometimes trickily. All in all, an interesting world view and a book worth reading again.
