stunningly written character and plot-wise. i loved the characters individually and their romance build-up is exquisite. so so glad to have read this, it’s so refreshing to finally see a good historical murder mystery that balances both romance and the mystery without sacrificing the quality of the book. what really stood out to me was june hur’s writing style, it was so neat and really easy to read—it’s flowy and the words are so well-drawn out altogether. began this for the plot but i definitely stayed and finished this for baek-hyeon and seo eojin.
