The Four Winds is my second Kristin Hannah, and sheesh, she really likes to destroy her readers emotionally. It was an immersive read that made me feel like I was living through the Dust Bowl alongside Elsa and her family. If you enjoy heavy, emotional historical fiction and strong female characters, this book is for you.
