I loved every drop of this book. The author somehow blends a literary lens with a pedestrian voice to write a collection of essays reflecting on the roles society thrusts upon women and girls. Nicole reflects on various identities she's played through the course of her life: daughter, friend, lover, wife, and mother.
Read this book to feel seen as a mother, and to break out of the mindset of what we're told motherhood should look like.
