no this is an actual 4 stars this time I am losing my goddamn mind at this yes jay kristoff can be extremely self-congratulatory and there's a good amount of him sucking his own metaphorical writing dick but also he manages to pack so much heart and breakneck action and FUN in this otherwise absolutely non-pullitzer-prize-worthy tale that you just can't help but be purely unabashedly in love with it. Maybe the real victory IS the bonds we made along the way, huh!
