A Husband's Regret by Natasha Anders
4.0

A husband’s regret? More like both husband and wife’s regret.
So, this is the story of a husband who regrets chasing away his wife and somehow believes his wife left him to suffer. Oh, god... I think the first one is much better angst.

But, let's cut the chase. He found her and belittle her. He uses her as revenge. Not to mention he also use their child as a tool for revenge. But joke on him. All of this was an illusion of his heart. He can't even think straight just because she was pregnant. So, she does what she thinks she should do.

I still love when he finally realised how messed up his life was. My favourite was when they finally talked and the accident was all about his hatred toward her. It is not like she abandoned him during his accident and recovered. The subsequent groveling really put him down. I like when she takes time to decide and enjoy her life. Yeah, who wants to stick with this kind of husband. And I think there is a power imbalance. He was rich while she was just a waitress.

But, it is the novel that people crave for a happy ending. So, yeah, they get back together. But the level of regret that the husband get made me at least satisfied. Let them suffer like the wife did before they are happy together.
