This book made changed my perspective on life and people.

I was so excited to read this when I first got the book on PB cause I know I'll annotate it A LOT! And well, this is my most annotated book and I'm not complaining 😆

The Vanishing Half talks about the Vignes twin sisters, Desiree and Stella Vignes, who are living 2 completely different lives when they got separated at 16. This book mostly talks about finding yourself and wanting to belong! Little do they know, their lives will be intertwined in unexpected ways.

This book was truly eye-opening for me and it made me see so many different people from a new perspective. I loved that this book has the most diverse characters I've read so far, and Brit Bennet's perspective on different kinds of people is so new and fresh and I LOVED IT!!! Some topics it has here are LGBTQIA+, racism, colorism, classism, domestic violence, identity crisis, and many more. I adore Brit Bennet's writing because of how raw and real she talks about it in this historical fiction book.

I really recommend this book to everyone especially if they want to read something new and just beautiful writing. However, I didn't rate this a 5⭐ because the ending was so abrupt (but I think I'm not smart enough to understand). Overall, this was one of my favorite reads of all time and I think everyone should read this book at least once in their life!
