Convenience Store Woman by Sayaka Murata
2.0
this was honestly a bit bland, but i suppose it's meant to be. however, i really enjoyed reading from such a different perspective - the systematic way Keiko saw the world around her was strange yet (alarmingly?) relatable.
honestly, i think Murata's "Earthlings" is a better, more enthralling depiction of people who don't fit into society (aliens). this felt like Murata just barely dipping her toes into the water, whereas "Earthlings" was a cannonball.
