Sometimes It Lasts
by Abbi Glines
Here we get a continuation of Cage York and Eva's story. I thought their HEA was done in the third book of the series, While It Lasts, but they got a sequel. Cage got a full ride scholarship to Tennesse with baseball and Eva learns that her father has terminal cancer with few months to live. She convinced Cage to leave for Tennesse without her so he can fulfill his dreams and she'll follow him after taking care of her father unto death. Complicated schemes cause them to break up and it's how they deal with the fallout that makes this story a growing up kind of book. They had to face their demons and demonstrate they have what it takes to be a man and a woman who can handle a committed relation. I like Abbi Glines books because she portrays all kinds of new adults, those who come from slums or trailer parks and those from priviledged backgrounds. And I like how they all deal together and form an extended family. This has been a very entertaining series!
