Probably the best mystery of the series so far. Some weird classism and commentary on appearances though.

Minor: Forced institutionalization

The villain has a severe facial injury/deformity and horror at the way they look is mentioned more than once by more than one character. The villain also often poses as another gender and it's unclear whether there is judgement from the heroes about that specifically. There seem to be micro-aggressions from the characters against the mentally ill, even while how easy it was to have someone committed and the tendency of husbands to commit wives because it was more socially acceptable than divorce is mentioned in the text. There's also brief mention of a past murder.
