6 stars. This book was so sweeping and truly what I would call an epic historical romance. I loved this from beginning to extremely satisfying end. Once I picked this up I could not stop reading. I had a hard time putting my kindle down to anything else because I just wanted to stay in this story with these characters.
The writing is absolutely beautiful and the story is paced very well. I was able to read this in a night because it was so addicting. I loved learning about the Lakota culture. The characters all felt so real and well developed. Anpo and Kathleen’s story is absolutely beautiful with some heartbreaking moments along the way to their happily ever after. They are both such strong and likable characters with a beautiful love story. I cannot express how much I loved this book. I genuinely have no words but I do want to read it all over again already because I want to stay with these characters. I adored this so much and I would without a doubt recommend it if you’re looking for a beautiful love story.
