Dance Hall of the Dead by Tony Hillerman

4.0

This one improved on the second book by being much more focused on Leaphorn, and it delved into the historic rivalry and enmity between the Zuni and Navajo, which boils over when Leaphorn is assigned to find a missing Navajo boy after said teen's Zuni friend is found murdered. That cultural context and mystery were both interesting (as was the jurisdictional squabbling between the various reservation police and federal agencies), though I did like the mystery elements in the first book a touch more. Very readable pageturner.
