Bliss, Remembered: A Novel by Frank Deford

4.0

My dad recommend this book to me saying it was about a Jewish Olympic woman swimmer in the '36 Olympics in Germany who begins to date a SS Officer out of fear for her life and ends up marrying him... He later finds out...

To my surprise, the woman swimmer does go to the '36 Olympics and does fall in love w a German guy, but there is no threat. Legit. Also, she is not Jewish...

The writing is really good, and the relationships are dear.
