The Lost Causes of Bleak Creek by Link Neal, Rhett McLaughlin
3.0

This was a fun and quick novel! I am a huge fan of Good Mythical Morning, and the characters of Rex and Leif capture lots of elements of Rhett and Link's real life, life-long friendship. I think this book would still be still enjoyable if you don't know who they are and have never seen their show, but I think if you enjoy their content you will enjoy this even more. They've written a fun nonfiction coffee-table book before this, but as their debut novel I think this was pretty solid.

I think it's a good book for young teenagers and pre-teens. There are curse words throughout, including a couple F-bombs. The book really picks up in the last third: plenty of action and supernatural creepiness. The lead-up to that is a little slow, but I still enjoyed it.

Well done, Rhett and Link!
