Gula by Colette Rhodes

4.0

To satisfy my craving for a monster romance, Colette Rhodes will always be my go-to author. As usual, Colette has published yet another outstanding novel. I adore this series, and it was fantastic to see the Shade-Human dynamic reversed this time around, with the human being a male. Despite not being my favourite in the series, I still thoroughly enjoyed this one. My favourite part of this book was getting to know so many different people from various social classes and exploring the realm's various regions outside of the court. Even though their love interests had everything going against them, they were perfect for one another. Selene was in denial about the former Hunter the entire time, but Austin was persistent in his efforts to win her over. The way they started to care for each other was funny and romantic, and their banter was excellent. I was simultaneously laughing and blushing while reading this. Without a doubt, I recommend it!
