I’m rereading the series after a decade and this middle book was very fuzzy in my mind. There’s great world building going on, more characters are introduced each book and every quest advances the main plot.

The quest in this book wasn’t as exciting as the first two, there was much more walking scenes. In this book, Percy’s character growth is speeding up. He’s only 14 now, but he is taking more responsibility for the main prophecy and his camp. You can glimpse how crazy scary he eventually becomes!
