Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow is such a brilliantly and beautifully written book that it’s hard to put into words how much I loved the experience of reading it. It writes like how the people of today reads, all the interesting parts of all the years put together, skipping the pauses and empty moments. Just focused on the important bits. But also, with much creative flair and imagination, literary references and foreshadowing dropped here and there.

It’s rarely that I’m in love with the ending as much as the start but I truly am in love with the ending of this book. I’ve made notes of what I think it might be and many times in most books it’s right but in this one, the author spins it differently from what they have hinted the ending to potentially be. I thought it would be a simple book about romance and love between childhood friends and in a way it is but it’s also so much more. Each bit brings more depth to the characters. They are such flawed beings but also so real and so easy to love and hate.
I’ve felt like the ending would be that they make ichigo 3 and of course they kind of did but not really. Not in the way I thought but I liked that pivot. I wondered when Dong or Bong will die and how Sam would feel about it and of course it made me cry.

It’s not often that a book can make me feel like I’ve lived a whole different life and this one has. And I’m ever grateful for being able to read it.
