Martyr! was a very beautiful read. Many points of meaningful reflections for each character. As the story begins to catch pace, you begin to see the complexities and mystery of characters unfold. Cyrus is tragically lovable. I deeply enjoyed reading about his experience as an Iranian-American. His struggles with his unknown past in Iran. His very known and lived experience in America. They all are so poignant and emotional. I highly recommend Martyr to anyone looking to branch out from your typical narrative.
