This is an excellent science fiction novel. Fresh interesting ideas and wonderful depiction of them. Loved the idea of having consciousness contained in a little disk in your neck. I took one star off simply because of the way the author portrays the main character's relationships with female characters. It was a little archaic, especially for a book set so far in the future.
