I burned through this book, and this book burned through me.
This story had a highly addictive quality; the urgent type where you know everything is bad but you can’t look away. You have to know what happened and what will happen, no matter how much it hurts.
Parker used to be popular. Perfect, even. Honor roll student, cheerleading captain, dating the jock, you name it.
But one fateful night, everything changes. And the Parker that comes out the other side is spiraling out of control, taking everything down in her path.
I can’t easily think of any other book I’ve read that portrayed such an “unlikeable” main character. Parker is mean. She makes terrible decisions, says the cruelest things. She doesn’t care what you think about her anymore.
Witness her downfall.
I definitely see myself continuing down the Courtney Summer’s rabbit hole.
