Started out a bit slow and confusing, but by the end I was hooked. It did get a little “villain gives a big speech revealing everything” but overall I didn’t mind that too much. I definitely appreciated (and remembered) it way more upon rereading. Note to self: this is not a good series to read while sleep deprived and traveling.
