The Fate of Fausto by Oliver Jeffers

3.0

“You are mine!”

This is a short tale about mans hubris and greed. Fausto walks up to the flowers and the mountains etc and arrogantly shouts “you are mine”, however not everything accepts his claims. This leads to a wonderfully dark twist at the end. Jeffers illustrations are excellent as always. This book seems to be aimed at a slightly older audience, than Jeffers usual works, but can still be found in the children’s section. However I think it would be more suitable and impactful for an older child.
