A Duke for Diana
by Sabrina Jeffries
A Duke for Diana was the first book in the Designing Debutantes series. The series is based on three Harper siblings who Society ostracized after their mom ran off with her lover and their parent’s scandalous divorce. They used their knowledge of Society and started their own business, Elegant Occasions, where they advised women on how to navigate Society.
Lady Diana Harper is an expert in fashion and her job was to help debutantes acquire a wardrobe to have a successful Season. She and her sisters were hired by Geoffrey Brookhouse, the new Duke of Grenwood, to launch his sister Rosabel’s first season. Helping Rosabel was no problem, but Diana getting Geoffrey to understand the importance of his role was frustrating.
Unexpectedly civil engineer Geoffrey Brookhouse inherited the dukedom of Greenwood. He wants Rosabel to marry a man with a title this Season in case their family secret is exposed. He hates the ton and doesn’t understand why his unfashionable clothes and refusal to attend events will affect Rosabel’s season.
This was a good book and I cannot wait to read more of the series in future books.
