Bessie Bibbs' Ginormous Fibs by Chris Jones, Claire Bell

4.0

Bessie just wants to be helpful - but leaves chaos and a mess behind.
Bessie starts her day with a walk. Her cousin Joe is having car trouble. Bessie is on the job! Plumber Pete has a computer on the fritz. Bessie is on the job! Gill's coffeemaker just won't work - Bessie is on it!
Poor Bessie just wants to solve her friends' problems - but Bessie needs to learn she can't just try to fix everything.
This is a great read for children - I especially loved the intro letter to parents. The purpose of the story is clearly detailed along with the explanation for using some complicated words to engage readers. And the map - always a joy. I loved the names of the streets, the creative rhyming - overall a very enjoyable read!
