I really hated this book for the first half. I couldn't stand the main character. It wasn't until the end that I realized it was meant to be that way and appreciated that there were good reasons she was the way she was and she was still on a journey of accepting herself and didn't need to pretend to be that way. I did not expect the twist in the story. I really had no idea that was the plot of the book.
