The Adventures of Elizabeth in Rügen by Elizabeth von Arnim

lighthearted relaxing

3.75

I really liked the book for the first half, almost loved it. I loved how enthusiastic she could be about the nature and i could relate whenever she was disappointed. But i didn’t like how she thought about Charlotte, a character i love (not only because we have the same name) and whom i really feel sorry for.
I’m so glad that she seeks a divorce in the end, thank god!
I’m still not quite sure if she is earnest in her behaviour towards other characters or if she is just silly but it felt a bit odd, especially in regards to Charlotte.
But after all i really enjoyed the book and I’m looking forward to reading more from her. (Oh and i adore Brosy)
