Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel

5.0

One of the best books I've read in 2016 so far. There was a palpable sense of fear throughout the entire story that gave me such nervous thoughts because the tragedy is so reasonable. The way Emily St. John Mandel weaves the narrative of all of the lives together and apart is remarkable. Very reminiscent of Mr. Burns - A Post Electric Play (though replace Simpsons with Shakespeare). Absolutely fell in love with the author's creation of the post-apocalyptic world and survival within it. Yes yes yes.

Read this in another review and wanted to save it for a time when I re-read this review: "it transports you completely to another reality while secretly expanding your understanding of this one
