Enchanted, Inc.

I do not want to give less than three stars to this book, because while listening to it, I was always at least slightly interested. But in the end I must say that making magic part of the corporate world does make it rather boring.
I liked the main character, a Texan country girl who moved to New York and at first suffers from bad luck with her jobs. She then lucks out and finds a new job where her unique abilities and her good common sense are finally appreciated. That in itself is a lovely development. The new firm is developing and marketing magical spells for the magical community of New York. It is all quite businesslike, and for me that took the magic out of the magic.
PS. Ah, I nearly forgot: one thing annoyed me, namely the way the two frog guys popped right back into New York City life as if they hadn't been away. One of them was a frog for decades, so how did he fit back in so easily? How does he provide for himself?
