kythera 's review for:
The Paper Magician
by Charlie N. Holmberg
I think I agree with the reviewer who said this book changes in the middle from a 'hey, isn't folding paper cool and who is this mysterious fellow' to 'why am I having to experience all these flashbacks. Interestingly though, I don't feel any more or less bivalent / ambivalent to the hero as a result, although I would have wanted to see Ceony's life rather than his, which is a rather predictable 'I fell in love with a bad girl' story. I'll read the next one, but I'm reading something else first rather than shooting back into it.
