you know this feeling when you eat something good for the first time and you’re like “omg i love it” and then you eat it again and again and again and again until you end up having a stomachache and feeling like you’re gonna throw up? this is what this book feels like. there was just too much plot twists that added nothing to the story expect making it heavier and longer.

the first plot twist was great, like yeah clap clap i didn’t expect that at all, well done, i’m satisfied! but then it just kept on going and going and going to the point where every time a new “shocking” information was revealed i was more pissed then surprised. i became frustrated by the end of the book. it’s like the author wanted to prove that he knew how to write stories with endings that no one can ever guess.

apart from kit and virginia all the other characters were flat and boring, no depth, no personality, no development. it was like they were here just as pawns to use and to make the story even more twisted than it already was. the father was maybe the worst character and the best example at what i’m saying, like i’m not even gonna talk about how bad these 3 last chapters were because i’m still mad about it.

overall, it was a fun and interesting book but it all got drowned in too many attempts to make impactful plot twists that didn’t really make sense
