Psychosis Diagnosis
by Nikki Minty
I won't lie, the start of this story had me slightly worried about how the characters', especially the main character's, mental health was going to be handled, but as the story went on and more context was added, the book grew on me more and more. I do not think it was the perfect story, and it felt as though some characters might not have acted in the most logical ways or felt slightly like a caricature, but the plot and storytelling were compelling. I will most likely be checking out the other series by Nikki Minty, as I am curious to see how I would find more of her writing.
The audiobook was well produced, and I appreciated the multiple narrators who would each come in when their character would have dialogue/when the story was told from their point of view. My only complaint is the way the screams were handled and how loud those would be compared to the rest of the narration. They could have still been included, but *greatly* reduced in volume or left more in the background of the production.
