Sixteen years ago, Jenny and her best friend, Susie, jumped off a cliff. Hours later, Jenny was discovered. Susie was never found and Jenny doesn’t remember what happened. One day, she sees her old friend on the train.
Jenny is a tough character. At every stage, I’m like, ‘yeah, but you’re obviously not going to do that – oh, you are.’ Her wilful stupidity had me pulling my hair out. But then, it would have been a really short book if she’d been smarter.
