To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee
5.0
“I wanted you to see what real courage is, instead of getting the idea that courage is a man with a gun in his hand. It's when you know you're licked before you begin, but you begin anyway and see it through no matter what. "
There is no way I won't give this book the highest rating possible. It looks at, represents and preaches the most pure form of humanity and how it should be lived. It teaches you to be your best possible self, regardless of every averse condition, regardless of what others deem right. It teaches kindness, compassion, humility, and most of all, love and inclusion. Humanity.
Upon reading it, there is no wonder at the fact that this book has retained and even gained popularity in the 50+ years since its release. What a masterpiece. Bravo!
“I think there's just one kind of folks. Folks.”
