Read this book if you want a filthy, smutty book with funny, sarcastic and witty characters- especially Elle, the FMC. The plot is mid because at best and there’s essentially no character development or genuine emotional development between the characters. The sex scenes are plentiful and top notch. Their bonds came author is very creative and adventurous.
The main characters are surface level at best and are really immature. There were a lot of opportunities to take with the marriage of convenience trope and it was pretty one note once you got they got through the initial shock of the marriage. I would have thought there would be more struggle with the convenience seeing as Elle has to relocate her entire life for a month right before planning to open her new business. She does nothing during this month but party, lie around a penthouse and eat restaurant food. What?! And wasn’t Alec’s career supposed to be on the line with this marriage stunt. They didn’t do anything as a married couple in public to sell the validity of the marriage.
Their bonds came through the frequent sex and “ease” of their connection. SN- Elle was there for over 30 days and had no concern for a period?!
The characters have a HEA but the ending reconciliation was soo dumb!
