I have so much respect for Jonathan. That respect only grows the more I see of them and their work. This book reads like half memoir, half research essay. It’s a collection of essays that tie together nicely but could also easily each be read on their own as a standalone piece. Every topic they write about also ties back to some part of their own story, which they share vulnerably about. I laughed and at points felt moved to tears. I would highly recommend this to others, and I can see myself pointing other people to individual chapters/essays as a helpful resource for each given topic.
Graphic: Grief, Homophobia, Transphobia, and Animal death
Moderate: Addiction, Police brutality, Body shaming, and Bullying
Minor: Sexual content
