I think my biggest issue with this romance read was how much whiplash I received when navigating the differing tropes that were used. Between the implied enemies-to-lovers in the beginning and synopsis to the friends-to-lovers / nurse-back-to-health rest of the novel I found it really jarring to shift from one to other. Other tropes like the whole ex-fiance's brother and dead sibling arc were kind of bland in their execution and the revenge aspect that was the basis of the synopsis just really fell flat for me.

It was fine but I don't think the synopsis really presents what you receive when you actually read the story, especially when the heavy subject matter regarding depression kicks in.
