I have many thoughts about this sweet little nugget of a novel.
The name, “Weather”, I feel is very reflective of the the prose of this. This is like a diary, split into little moments and paragraphs. For me, I interpret this as like weather reports - but of your day and the general state of mind.
The idea of surviving and preparing for crisis is explored through these characters and the people that send in questions. It makes you think, this life is insignificant to the potential danger ahead. It’s an event forecast.
It’s very easy going and does make you sit back and think about the world and universe as a whole. We are nothing compared to the power of nature.
