I expected the book to be more about family drama because of the title and the way it started.

Andrea is 34, a lawyer working hard at a job she doesn’t like, trying hard to make partner over her colleague, Suresh, drinking, playing candy crush, hanging out with Linda/Valerie, while occasionally dealing with the fact that she’s the Last Tang Standing. She needs to get her mother grandkids ASAP to stop the subtle and not so subtle jabs from her mother and the extended Tang family. But she needs to get married first or start dating first and she doesn’t seem to be lucky at finding the one.

I felt like Andrea and Suresh didn’t have enough ‘screen time’. I wanted more of them but all I got were a few paragraphs and dialogues towards the end of the book.

I like Andrea. She’s kind of messy, not sure what she wants, and she writes am instead of ‘I’m’. But she’s fun and the end of the day, she summoned the courage to remove herself from situations that didn’t feel right for her.
